MoRA’s momentum keeps growing with new events and venues

Word is getting out about the desirability of the MoRA area and the powerful sense of community and creativity that abound here. It seems that new groups are becoming part of the MoRA landscape and experience constantly.  The past few months saw The Charlotte Symphony perform at Embrace, initial performances at Actor’s Theatre at The Barn down the road, and the opening of a second MoRA brewery, Vaulted Oak.

The area’s transformation is remarkable. Meridian Place would like to acknowledge the hard work of so many residents, business owners, artists and others who have done so much to fuel the momentum here, momentum that has caught the attention of local media.  The message is getting out.

OMG Donut and Coffee now open in Meridian Place

You may have seen this exciting news as noted by Charlotte Five and Axios Charlotte.

Local favorite OMG Donuts and Coffee is now open in Meridian Place in the building next to Edge City. While fresh donuts complete with custom fillings are the staple with OMG there is plenty more to enjoy here.

A full coffee bar serving Pure Intentions Coffees and expressos and a hand-scooped ice cream station give you more reasons to make OMG part of your daily regimen.

Congrats to owner Mia Chang and her team. Visit them soon. You will not be disappointed.

MoRA part of City of Charlotte’s 250th Anniversary Celebration

MoRA gained another great accolade this spring as it was included in the City of Charlotte’s 250th Anniversary Celebration. The City’s Placemaking Program placed 100 rocking chairs around the city, and four of the chairs landed in Embrace and are being used daily.
